Lacko win NOPGA Spring Championship

George Lacko of Pinegrove Golf Course in Sudbury captured the 2006 NOPGA Spring Championship Monday in Elliot Lake.

Playing the new Stone Ridge at Elliot Lake Golf Course, Lacko shot rounds of 69 and 71 to capture the title by 4 strokes over John Hastie of Lively Golf Course and 5 better than Dan Garagan of Pinewood Park Golf Course. First round leader Paul Schweyer of Idywylde finished in fourth after firing an opening round 4-under 68.
