Schweyer tops Pro/Super field in Soo

Paul Schweyer of the Idylwylde Golf and Country Club fired a round of 72 to top the Pro/Super/Director field in the last event of the 2007 NOPGA schedule.

The event sponsored by Club Car and hosted by the Crimson Ridge Golf Club in Sault Ste. Marie provided another close finish. In second place was Josh Cooney from Sudbury, one shot back of Schweyer at 73. Rounding out the top 5 are Jamie Henderson of the host course at 75, Brent Robinson of Stone Ridge at Elliot Lake and Dan Garagan of Pinewood, each shooting 76.

On the team side, John Hastie's team from Lively Golf Course consisting of John Mullock, Doug Hamilton and Stuart McMillan took overall honours with a score of 122. Finishing 2 shots back at 124 were Brent Robinson's team of Mark Kay, Jimmy Yee and Sarah Howard.
