The Facility: The Parry Sound Golf & Country Club is a semi-private 18-Hole Golf Facility that was established in 1929. The facility which is adjacent to Georgian Bay, currently boasts 18-Holes of Championship Golf, a 12 acre training facility, a Brand New Cutting Edge Pro Shop(renovated in 2007) and a Fully Licensed Food and Beverage Operation. There are 500 adult members, 85 junior members and over 240 people currently on a Wait-List for membership. Parry Sound G. & C.C. is host to many tournaments, league events and can be noted as one of the busiest golf courses in Central Ontario. In 2005, the Club hosted the Ontario Junior Girls’ Championship.

The Position: The C.P.G.A Head Professional operates as the Club Manager as well as the Golf Professional. The Head Professional must work in partnership with Head Chef/Food & Beverage Manager, Golf Course Superintendent and the Financial Administrator. This year round position requires the successful applicant to possess proficient leadership and managerial skills as well as outstanding aptitude as a Golf Professional. (Commences – Spring 2008)

Qualifications:

• CPGA Class “A” Professional Status
• Excellent Leadership Qualities
• Exceptional Organizational and Time-Management skills
• Effective Communications and Interpersonal skills
• Knowledge of marketing and promotion of golf and sales merchandising and inventory controls
• Understanding of financial concepts, budgets, business management and related computer programs – Jencess Program is a must.
• Possess strong teaching capabilities and ability to create and operate a teaching academy that includes junior development
• Experience in Food & Beverage

Ability to attract an CPGA Associate or Apprentice Professional is an asset

Salary Range for this position is $55,000 - $70,000
