Whitewater is coming into its 4th full season of operation and is the center of King Georges Park development which will include free hold housing, townhouses and condominium housing. The golf course is bordered by the Kaministiquia River and the Oxbow Wetlands. Whitewater is currently an 18-hole facility and Golf Academy with 9 more holes scheduled for future development.

Responsibilities will include but are not limited to:

  • Prepare and monitor an annual budget
  • Establish and monitor all purchasing and inventory procedures
  • Market and promote all golf course activities
    Coordinate and run all golf events. Including corporate, charity and internal member events
  • Develop and oversee all weekly member events (men’s night, ladies night, senior and junior leagues)
  • Develop and market the Golf Academy through lessons, golf schools and club fittings
  • Communicate directly with management team and ownership
  • Interview, hire and train all golf operations staff
  • Liaise with the Golf Course Superintendent to ensure entire golf operation exceeds expectations
  • Excel in customer and membership relations
  • Offer excellent customer service
  • To represent Whitewater Golf Club in the community
  • Operate and oversee the operation of the POS and handicapping systems
  • Manage and maintain the power cart fleet
  • Create, develop and run programs to generate new revenue opportunities
  • Ensure that the rules and regulations of the facility are enforced and adhered to on a day to day basis

Qualifications:

  • Class “A” member in good standing of the Canadian PGA
  • Strong communications skills
  • Strong leadership, training and promotional abilities
  • Keeps accurate and complete records on payroll, inventory, weather data, service procedures, membership policies, etc
  • Must excel in customer service practices
  • Strong Teaching and Coaching abilities are required
  • Must be computer literate and have experience with the latest technologies used in Golf Operations.

Compensation Package: Commensurate with experience and qualifications
Includes: CPGA Dues, Food Allowance and bonus opportunities

Employment Period: March 30, 2008 (negotiable) through to November 15, 2008 with potential to turn into a 12 month position
