Dinosaur Trail Golf and Country Club a Semi Private golf club in Southern Alberta is seeking the position of a Head Golf Professional. Dinosaur Trail Golf and Country Club was established in 1965 as a 9 hole golf club. The opening of the back nine in 1996 was the beginning of what is now known throughout the golfing world in Alberta as the ultimate challenge in target golf. Built throughout the coulees and badlands it is a challenge for golfers of all skill levels.
Reporting to and working closely with the General Manager as a key member of the management team, the Head Golf Professional will provide, oversee and manage the golf operations and work cooperatively with other departments. The position will promote an exceptional “golf experience”, and provide excellent services and programs to all patrons
Job Responsibilities
· Provide exceptional customer service with members and guests
· Hiring training and supervision of all golf department staff
· Oversee all golf services and operations
· Oversee the rental and cleanliness of the cart fleet
· Track and verify all players and guests, golf cars, and other charges necessary and facilitate proper controls
· Maintain close working relationship with the Superintendent and other department heads
· Assist in the preparation of budgets, including forecasting and review of all golf revenues and expenses on a daily, weekly, monthly, and annual basis
· Maintain and oversee a profitable merchandise concession that is consistent with patron demographics and needs
Qualifications:
· Work effectively within a team management structure
· Strong managerial skills including staff relations
· Computer literate Re: P.O.S systems, Word, and Excel
· Strong organizational and leadership skills
· Excellent oral and written communication skills
· Strong in public relations skills
Compensation will be based on a Salary and Bonus structure ranging between $ 40, 000 and $60, 000 per year based on qualifications and performance.
