Match Play Semi-Finals Set
The Semi-Finalists are set as the final four head towards the crowning of the 2008 NOPGA Match Play Champion.
In the first Quarter Final Match, Kyle Paquette took care of Dave McMicken and ended the match early winning 6&4. Second match also was decided early as NOPGA Spring Champion George Lacko defeated Soo Professional Jeff Hamilton 5&3.
In the bottom half of the draw, Paul Schweyer closed out Josh Cooney in a close match 2-up, and in a battle of Father and Son, Sam Yawney closed out son Nick 5&4.
The Semi-Finals stacks up like this (number indicates original seeding):
Kyle Paquette (8) vs. George Lacko (4)
Paul Schweyer (2) vs. Sam Yawney (6)
Semi-Final matches should be completed before August 24th.
